मौसम अधिसूचना!:उत्तराखंड के सात जिलों में 9 और 10 अगस्त को भारी से बहुत भारी बारिश का ऑरेंज अलर्ट जारी किया गया है।
अन्य जिलों में भारी बारिश का येलो अलर्ट रहेगा. मौसम विभाग के निदेशक डॉ. बिक्रम सिंह ने बताया कि टिहरी, देहरादून, पौडी, पिथौरागढ, चंपावत, नैनीताल, यूएसनगर और हरिद्वार जिलों में भारी से बहुत भारी बारिश होने की संभावना है.
अन्य जिलों में भारी बारिश हो सकती है. लोगों से सतर्क रहने की अपील की गई है. भूस्खलन और सड़कें बंद होने की आशंका है. मौसम विभाग की चेतावनी के बाद प्रशासन भी अलर्ट मोड पर है.
Outgoing Wrestling Federation of India chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh on Wednesday told a Delhi court that hugging or touching a woman without sexual intent is not an offence, PTI reported.
He made the submission before Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Harjeet Singh Jaspal, who was hearing arguments on framing of charges against him in a sexual harassment case.
“Wrestling is such an event, mostly coaches are men,” Rajiv Mohan, the lawyer representing Singh, told the court. “Women coaches are rare. If a coach, out of joy, after an achievement, is hugging a player, it can’t fall under the category of offence.”
Mohan referred to an allegation that Singh sexually harassed a female wrestler at Delhi’s Siri Fort. He said that his client had made no sexual advances and the incident only involved hugging, The Indian Express reported.
The lawyer also questioned the alleged delay on the part of the complainants in coming forward with their allegations. “If you [complainants] are moving freely and for five years you did not come forward and then saying that you were under threat is not a valid explanation,” he said.

मार्च 2022 में, भारतीय स्टेट बैंक (SBI) ने अपने मूल बचत खाते पर औसत मासिक शेष को खत्म करने का निर्णय लिया था। इससे पहले, एसबीआई खाताधारकों को अपने खाते में 3,000 रुपये, 2,000 रुपये या 1,000 रुपये का औसत मासिक बैलेंस बनाए रखना होता था। यह बैलेंस अपनी ब्रांच के हिसाब से रखना होता था.
एचडीएफसी बैंक न्यूनतम शेष
एचडीएफसी बैंक की वेबसाइट के मुताबिक, सेविंग अकाउंट में मिनिमम बैलेंस रखना जरूरी है। शहरी क्षेत्रों में शाखाओं के लिए न्यूनतम बैलेंस मानदंड 10,000 रुपये या 1 लाख रुपये की एफडी या 5000 रुपये का औसत मासिक बैलेंस या 50,000 रुपये की एफडी है। जबकि सेमी अर्बन ब्रांच के लिए यह तीन महीने में 2500 रुपये है.
आईसीआईसीआई बैंक
आईसीआईसीआई बैंक के नियमित बचत खाते के लिए औसत न्यूनतम शेष राशि मानदंड 10,000 रुपये और अर्ध-शहरी शाखाओं के लिए 5,000 रुपये और ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों की शाखाओं के लिए 2,000 रुपये है।
केनरा बैंक
केनरा बैंक के ग्राहकों के लिए औसत मासिक शेष सभी शाखाओं में 2,000 रुपये, अर्ध-शहरी क्षेत्रों में 1,000 रुपये और ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में 500 रुपये है।
पीएनबी मिनिमम बैलेंस
पंजाब नेशनल बैंक के ग्राहकों के लिए न्यूनतम बैलेंस मानदंड ग्रामीण शाखाओं में 1,000 रुपये, अर्ध-शहरी क्षेत्रों में 2,000 रुपये और मेट्रो शहरों में 5,000 रुपये से 10,000 रुपये है।

वहीं बैठक के बाद आरबीआई गवर्नर शक्तिकांत दास ने कहा कि यह देखकर खुशी हो रही है कि इंडियन इकोनॉमी उचित गति से बढ़ रही है। उन्होंने कहा कि एमपीसी ने सर्वसम्मति से रेपो दर को 6.5 फीसदी के साथ कोई बदलाव नहीं किया है।

Portions of Congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s speech criticising the Narendra Modi government’s actions in violence-hit Manipur were on Wednesday expunged from the Lok Sabha records, The Indian Express reported.
His remarks pertaining to “Bharat Mata [Mother India]” and a reference to the Bharatiya Janata Party-led Centre were among those removed by the Lok Sabha Secretariat.
The Congress leader made these remarks in his first speech in the Lower House after being reinstated as the MP from Wayanad. He was reinstated three days after the Supreme Court stayed his conviction in a criminal defamation case.
Gandhi alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not visit the Northeastern state as he does not consider it to be part of India. “I used the word ‘Manipur’, but the truth of today is that Manipur does not exist anymore,” he added. “You have divided Manipur into two parts.”
He accused the BJP of “sprinkling kerosene everywhere and putting the country on fire”, and referred to last week’s communal violence in Haryana’s Nuh and Gurugram districts that left six persons dead.
After parts of Gandhi’s speech were expunged from the record, the Congress’ leader in the Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury described the decision as “gross injustice” and accused the government of denigrating Parliament.

अगर आप हर महीने 2000 रुपये की आरडी शुरू करते हैं तो एक साल में आप कुल 24000 रुपये का निवेश करेंगे। 5 साल में कुल निवेश 1,20,000 रुपये होगा। अगर इस पर 6.5 के हिसाब से ब्याज की गणना की जाए तो 5 साल में आपको 21,983 रुपये ब्याज के तौर पर मिलेंगे. इस तरह आपको मैच्योरिटी पर 1,41,983 रुपये मिलेंगे.
3000 रुपये की आरडी
वहीं, अगर आप पोस्ट ऑफिस आरडी में हर महीने 3000 रुपये जमा करते हैं तो एक साल में 36000 रुपये और 5 साल में 1,80,000 रुपये का निवेश होगा। 5 साल में ब्याज के रूप में 32,972 रुपये और इस तरह मैच्योरिटी पर कुल 2,12,972 रुपये मिलेंगे।
4000 रुपये की आरडी
पोस्ट ऑफिस आरडी में हर महीने 4000 रुपये जमा करने पर आप साल में 48000 रुपये का निवेश करेंगे। इस तरह 5 साल में कुल निवेश 2,40,000 रुपये होगा. इस पर 43,968 रुपये का ब्याज मिलेगा. निवेश की गई रकम और ब्याज मिलाकर आपको मैच्योरिटी पर 2,83,968 रुपये मिलेंगे.
5000 रुपये की आरडी
अगर आप पोस्ट ऑफिस की मासिक आरडी 5000 रुपये से शुरू कर रहे हैं तो आपको सालाना 60000 रुपये निवेश करना होगा। 5 साल में आप कुल 3,00,000 रुपये का निवेश करेंगे. 5 साल बाद आपको ब्याज के तौर पर 54,954 रुपये मिलेंगे. इस तरह 5 साल बाद कुल जमा और ब्याज जोड़कर 3,54,954 रुपये वापस मिलेंगे।

A group of students and their parents protested outside the NG Acharya and DK Marathe College in Mumbai’s north eastern Chembur area on Wednesday after the junior college denied entry to students wearing burqas or hijabs over their uniforms.
The college has, this year, introduced uniforms for Class 11 and 12 students. Burqas, hijabs, skull caps and headscarves have been prohibited, said a Class 11 student.
On August 1, the Class 11 student said she was stopped from entering the college gates because she wore a burqa over her uniform. Since that day, the administration has not allowed students to enter the college unless they wear the uniform – for girls, an off-white salwar suit.
“Most of the students in my class are Muslims,” the student said. “When the college introduced uniforms, we agreed to wear them. Our parents only had a conditon that headscarves must be allowed.”
According to Faizan Qureshi, shakha pramukh of the Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde faction), the students do not mind wearing the uniform. “They have paid the college for the uniform as well,” he said.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday told the Supreme Court that he is not guilty of any offence and will not apologise for his Modi surname remark which led to his conviction in a criminal defamation case, reported Live Law.
The case is related to Gandhi’s speech ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections in which he had referred to thieves as having the surname Modi. A Surat court had sentenced him to two years in jail on March 24. This led to his immediate disqualification as a Lok Sabha MP.
On July 15, Gandhi moved the Supreme Court against a Gujarat High Court order that refused to put on hold his conviction and the two-year jail term in the case. If his conviction is not stayed, Gandhi will have to complete his jail term. The politician will also be prohibited from contesting elections for the next six years.
On Wednesday, Gandhi said that he has always maintained that he is not guilty of offence and that the conviction is unsustainable. He added that if he wanted to apologise, he would have done it much earlier.
