Indian Navy Agniveer MR, SSR 02/2023 registration ends tomorrow; apply now

The Indian Navy will conclude the online registration process for the Agniveer SSR/MR 02/23 batch tomorrow, June 13. Eligible unmarried male and female candidates can apply for the vacancies on the official website joinindiannavy.gov.in till midnight tomorrow.

The Indian Navy recruitment drive aims to fill up a total of 1465 vacancies, of which 1365 vacancies are for the Agniveer (SSR)and 100 for Agniveer (MR) for the 02/2023 batch.

Application Fee

Retail inflation drops to 4.25% in May – lowest since April 2021

India’s retail inflation dropped to 4.25% in May from 4.70% in April, data from the Union Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation showed on Monday.

This is the lowest that the price rise indicator has been since April 2021, when it stood at 4.23%, according to NDTV. In April 2022, it was 7.04%.

The inflation in rural areas in April stood at 4.17% and 4.27% in urban areas, according to the data.

Retail inflation for April continues to be within the tolerance level of the Reserve Bank of India for the third consecutive month. The central bank aims to keep inflation between 2% and 6%.

Data released by the government on Monday showed that food inflation eased to 2.91% in May from 3.84% in April.

Meanwhile, the Index of Industrial Production rose sharply to 4.2% on an annual basis in April from 1.1% in March.

As per the data released by the National Statistical Office, the manufacturing sector’s output grew by 4.9% in April 2023 as against 5.6% a year ago.

The easing of the retail inflation came after the Reserve Bank of India on June 6 decided to keep the repo rate unchanged at 6.50%. The repo rate is the interest rate at which the central bank lends money to commercial banks.

It is a rather ordinary morning in January. The waves nibble away at the western coast in Maharashtra’s Ratnagiri district. Much of the coast is armoured with sea walls.

There is a bustling jetty at a distance, with ships waiting to transport people to a town in the adjacent district of Raigad. There is also a bridge, that has been in the making for the last eight years, to connect Raigad district to Mandangad tehsil in Ratnagiri. But the part-finished structure has been abandoned since the lockdown. The villagers do not know why, and see no point in pursuing the question.

The ordinariness of everyday life in these sea-facing villages of Velas and Bhankot do not hint at the larger shifts they have been witnessing or are part of. But some villagers are observant. Mohan Upadhay is one of them.

Upadhay is a nature lover and a conservationist. In the last two decades, he has documented, through pictures and writings, how the shoreline in his area has changed and how biodiversity has been impacted in the process. Haryana: Farmers demanding MSP for sunflower seed block Delhi-Chandigarh highway

Farmers from Haryana on Monday blocked the Delhi-Chandigarh highway as part of a protest to seek Minimum Support Price, or MSP, for sunflower seed from the state government, PTI reported.

The minimum support price is the rate at which the government buys farm produce. It is based on a calculation of at least one and a half times the cost of production incurred by farmers.

The development came after a mahapanchayat, called by the Bharatiya Kisan Union (Charuni), was held at a grain market in Kurukshetra’s Pipli village close to the highway.

The farmers have been demanding that the Haryana government procure their sunflower crop at a minimum support price of Rs 6,400 per quintal, as announced for the crop by the central government for 2022-23.

However, a senior official from the Haryana food and supplies department had told The Print that the state government had not announced that it would procure sunflower seeds at minimum support prices for 2022-2023.

सामग्री

कच्चे आम-3 – कैरी
जीरा पाउडर भुना 2 टी स्पून
काला नमक – 2 टी स्पून
पुदीना पत्तियां – 1 टेबलस्पून
चीनी- 5 टेबलस्पून
नमक – स्वादानुसार

विधि
आपको आम का पन्ना बनाने के लिए सबसे पहले कच्चा आम लेना है। इसको प्रेशर कुकर में डालें और जरुरत के मुताबिक पानी डालकर उबाल ले। कुकर का प्रेशर निकल जाने के बाद ढक्कन खोलें और कच्चे आम को पानी से निकाल लें। इसके बाद छिलका उतार लें और एक बर्तन में आम का गूदा निकाल लें। आपको इसके बाद बर्तन के गूदे को अच्छी तरह से मसलना है और उसमें कटी हुई पुदीना पत्तियां, काला नमक, जीरा पाउडर समेत अन्य सभी सामग्रियों को डालकर मिक्स करना है। इस मिश्रण में जरूरत के हिसाब से पानी और चीनी डाल दे और ब्लेंड करले तैयार है आपका आम का पन्ना।

NEET UG 2023: Answer key released for Manipur candidates, raise objections at neet.nta.nic.in

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the provisional answer key of the NEET (UG) 2023 for candidates from Manipur. Applicants can download the answer key from the official website neet.nta.nic.in.

Candidates can raise objections upto 4.00 PM till today, June 12 by paying the fee of Rs 200 per challenge. No challenge will be entertained without receipt of the processing fee. The challenges will not be accepted through any other mode.

“NTA has conducted the NEET UG 2023 in the state of Manipur for 8753 candidates at 34 centers located in 11 cities on the request of the State Government of Manipur in the wake of the law-and-order situation on 06 June 2023 (Tuesday) from 12:00 PM to 03:20 P.M. The list of 11 different cities is Aizawl (Mizoram), Kohima/Dimapur (Nagaland), Shillong (Meghalaya), Guwahati (Assam), Jorhat (Assam), Silchar (Assam), Kolkata (West Bengal), Delhi, Bengaluru (Karnataka), Imphal (Manipur),” reads the notification.

MHT CET 2023 result out for PCM, PCB exams; here’s direct link

Maharashtra Common Entrance Test Cell has released the result of the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test or MHT CET 2023 for PCB and PCM Group. Eligible candidates can download their results from the official websites cetcell.mahacet.org or mahacet.in.

The MHT CET 2023 was held from May 9 to 13 for PCM Group and May 15 to 20 for PCB Group in Computer Based Test mode. The answer keys were released on May 26 and objections were invited till May 28.

The MHT-CET 2023 is conducted at almost all the district headquarters in the State of Maharashtra for admission to Professional Courses in Engineering/ Technology, Pharmacy and Agricultural Education in the state for the academic year 2023-24.

Double-engine sarkar. Coined by the BJP, the Hinglish term refers to the fact that the saffron party often sells the idea to voters that having the same party in the state and the Centre will turbocharge development.

How true is it? Manipur currently offers a stark example of its working. The state is currently in a state of civil war, as two of its ethnicities attack each other in alternating waves of communal rioting and, in some cases, action by armed militant groups. It is clear that the state government has completely failed in its most important job: maintaining the peace. In fact, critics claim it is openly partisan, supporting one side of the conflict.

मीडिया रिपोटर्स की माने तो ओलंपिक पदक विजेता साक्षी मलिक, बजरंग पूनिया और विनेश फोगाट के नेतृत्व में पहलवानों का कहना है की “जब तक बृजभूषण को सलाखों के पीछे नहीं पहुंचाया जाता, वे अपना विरोध प्रदर्शन समाप्त नहीं करेंगे। विनेश ने अमित शाह से मुलाकात के बारे मे बताया की उन्होंने कुछ प्रस्ताव दिए थे कि वे हमारे लिए क्या कर सकते है। लेकिन बृजभूषण की गिरफ्तारी को छोड़कर और सब काम हो रहा है।

खबरों की माने तो महिला पहलवानों से जब बृजभूषण की गिरफ्तार पर सवाल पूछा गया तो उन्होंने कहा, आपको अमित शाह से पूछना होगा कि बृजभूषण को गिरफ्तार क्यों नहीं किया जा रहा है। वह इतने शक्तिशाली व्यक्ति हैं कि सरकार उन्हें बचाने की कोशिश कर रही है।

In an attempt to dissect what went wrong for India at the 2023 ICC World Test Championship Final, this exercise seemed interesting. It is not possible that the result of a match, especially one in Test cricket that is played over five days, is decided by one single factor. It is fair to say, there are always a combination of factors in play. So, here’s a thought. Let’s try and list a few reasons (might not be an exhaustive one) of why Rohit Sharma and Co came up short at The Oval against Australia, losing by 209 runs to finish runners-up for the second time running.

Team selection played a part, perhaps. With Ravindra Jadeja and Nathan Lyon getting a fair bit of assistance on the pitch, India had another world-class spinner in their ranks while Australia didn’t. WTC Final: Rohit Sharma’s press conference – ‘In an ideal scenario, we needed more time to prepare’

India’s batting was once again the center of discussion after a disappointing show in their loss to Australia in Sunday’s ICC World Test Championship final. Chasing 444 for victory, India resumed day five on 164-3 but crashed to 234 all out in the first session at the Oval.

Rohit Sharma’s side fell behind by 173 runs in the first innings, bowled out for 296 in response to Australia’s 469. Defeat left India, beaten in the inaugural WTC final by New Zealand two years ago, still searching for their first major global title in senior cricket since 2013.

Speaking in London after the defeat, the Indian captain was faced with a wide variety of questions. In the media interaction, he suggested a full series, rather than a one-off game, should be used to determine the next champions. But he accepted it would be tough to find room in an already-congested international calendar.

Police baton-charge Warkari devotees in Pune, government refutes allegations

The Maharashtra Police and devotees of the Warkari sect got into an altercation in Pune on Sunday, reported NDTV. The Opposition parties have claimed that the Warkaris, devotees of Hindu deity Vithoba, were baton-charged by the police – as can be seen in a video. However, the police and government have denied the charges.

The incident took place when the devotees were trying to enter the Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Samadhi temple in Alandi town during the annual Ashadhi Ekadashi pilgrimage to Pandharpur, reported PTI.

Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissioner Vinay Kumar Choubey said that the police were allowing devotees to enter the temple in batches of 75, but some of them breached the barricades and tried to jump the queue.

“There was an altercation when police tried to stop them [those forcibly entering the temple],” Choubey said, refuting allegations of baton-charge.

UPSSSC recruitment 2023: Last date to apply for 1468 Gram Panchayat Adhikari posts at upsssc.gov.in

Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UPSSSC) will soon close the online application window for recruitment to the post of Gram Panchayat Adhikari. Eligible candidates can apply for the vacancies on the official website upsssc.gov.in.

The recruitment drive aims to fill up a total of 1468 posts.

The applicants should be between the age of 18 years to 40 years. Candidates can check the eligibility criteria, pay scale, vacancy details, educational qualification, and other details available in the official notification below:

I met Appaji by chance. His name was Matikallu Basappa, I called him Appaji. One day, I was seeking alms at a bus stand in Davanagere when I saw a large crowd and heard the sound of the chaudaki, a folk musical instrument, from a distance. I also headed there thinking that if nothing else, I could earn a few extra rupees. When I went closer, I saw an old man dressed in a lungi and shirt, holding the taala (cymbals) in his left hand and playing the chaudaki shruthi instrument with his right as he sang along, while a very young boy, sporting a long braid, danced to the music. I stood and watched them perform three–four songs and spared them a few coins from my day’s collection.

Back then, people had to wait for a long time for the bus. I saw that when a sizeable number of people had gathered, the man would begin to perform. ट्रंप ने इस मामले में कहा की उन पर ये आरोप लगाकार आगे होने वाले राष्ट्रपति चुनावों से बाहर करने की कोशिश की जा रही है। मीडिया रिपोटर्स की माने तो ट्रंप ने उन पर लगे 37 आरोपों को अपने समर्थकों पर हमला बताया है। ट्रंप ने जॉर्जिया और नॉर्थ कैरोलाइना में रिपब्लिकन पार्टी के सम्मेलनों को संबोधित किया।

यहां उन्होंने न्याय विभाग द्वारा लगाए गए आरोपों के तौर पर उनकी वापसी की संभावनाओं को नुकसान पहुंचाने की कोशिश बताया। ट्रंप ने अपने समर्थकों की भीड़ से कहा, ;वे मुझे एक के बाद एक, कई मामलों में निशाना बनाकर मुझे फंसा रहे है। उन्होंने संकल्प लिया कि वह अभियोग के बावजूद राष्ट्रपति पद के चुनाव की दौड़ में बने रहेंगे।

उसी के तहत आज प्रियंका गांधी मध्य प्रदेश के जबलपुर आ रही है। इसके साथ ही मध्य प्रदेश विधानसभा चुनाव 2023 की आज से शुरूआत हो जाएगी। इस साल तीन राज्यों मध्य प्रदेश, राजस्थान और छत्तीसगढ़ में चुनाव होने है। इसी क्रम में पार्टी की महासचिव प्रियंका गांधी जबलपुर से कांग्रेस के इलेक्शन कैम्पेन की शुरुआत करेंगी।

जानकारी के अनुसार प्रियंका गांधी जबलपुर में सबसे पहले नर्मदा पूजन करके मध्य प्रदेश में कांग्रेस के लिए जीत का आशीर्वाद मांगेगी। यही पर वो एक सभा को भी संबोधित करेंगी। सभा में पीसीसी चीफ कमलनाथ और पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री दिग्विजय सिंह भी मौजूद रहेंगे।

इंटरनेट डेस्क। चक्रवाती तूफान बिपरजॉय के कारण मौसम में बदलाव देखने को मिल रहा है और इसके कारण ही ज्यादा गर्मी भी लोगों को परेशान कर रही है। वहीं राजस्थान में भी इस तूफान का असर देखने को मिल रहा है। इसके कारण तापमान भले की 40 डिग्री का लेकिन अहसास 48 डिग्री वाला हो रहा है। हालात यह है की उमस लोगों को परेशान कर रही है।

चक्रवाती तूफान बिपरजॉय के कारण ही राजस्थान में पड़ गर्मी और उमस के बाद अब एक बार फिर आंधी-तूफान के साथ बारिश का दौर शुरू होगा। मौसम विभाग की माने तो आने वाले दिनों में कई इलाकों में आंधी-तूफान के साथ बारिश का येल्लो अलर्ट है। 14 जून से इसकी शुरूआत हो जाएगी और 17 और 18 जून को तेज आंधी बारिश दिखाई देगी।

मौसम विभाग की माने तो चक्रवाती तूफान बिपरजॉय धीरे-धीरे अब उत्तर दिशा की ओर बढ़ने लगा है। इसके चलते 16 जून तक ये चक्रवाती तूफान पाकिस्तान तट की ओर पहुंच जाएगा। इसके असर से 14-15 जून को दक्षिणी और पश्चिमी भागों में बारिश, आंधी-तूफान की गतिविधियां देखने को मिलेगी।

With the Karnataka election result on May 13, the Bharatiya Janata Party lost its only foothold in South India as its government was voted out. But with Lok Sabha elections due next year, the party and its affiliated organisations continue their efforts to make inroads into the southern states.

Kerala, in particular, remains a tough nut to crack for the saffron party, which has made modest gains in the state where a unique, cohesive Malayali identity often trumps religious divides.

Nissim Mannathukkaren, professor at the International Development Studies Department at Dalhousie University, Canada, points out that Kerala is one of India’s most religious diverse states with the presence of three major religions and a harmonious social fabric.

Apart from its tested playbook of religious polarisiation, the BJP is also making overtures to the powerful Catholic Church and the influential Syrian Christian community.

Mannathukkaren, in an interview with Abhish K Bose of Asian Lite International, said that while the Church supporting the BJP is not new, it does not augur well for Kerala. “The reason for the Church’s accommodation of the BJP is merely instrumental and self-interestedness, especially in protecting its vast power and resources,” he said. “It is not moral or ideological.”
