Madras HC annuls 2019 Lok Sabha victory of lone AIADMK MP Ravindhranath Kumar

The Madras High Court on Thursday annulled the 2019 Lok Sabha win of All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam MP OP Ravindhranath Kumar from Tamil Nadu’s Theni constituency, The Indian Express reported.

The court, however, kept its verdict in abeyance for a month to enable Kumar to file an appeal in the Supreme Court.

Kumar, the son of former Tamil Nadu chief minister O Paneerselvam, was the lone MP of the AIADMK and National Democratic Alliance to win the Lok Sabha polls.

A single bench of Justice SS Sundar passed the order on a petition filed by a voter, P Milany, who had challenged Kumar’s election on the grounds that he concealed his income sources in his election affidavit and bribed voters, reported The Hindu.

The petitioner alleged that the MP misused the government machinery and indulged in corrupt practices to secure victory. In 2019, O Paneerselvam was the deputy chief minister of the state.

Further, Milany said that Kumar’s election affidavit only mentioned agriculture and business as his business sources, and not the salary that he received as the director of a private company.

ICSI recruitment 2023: Apply for 30 CRC Executives posts from July 7

Land-for-jobs case: CBI files chargesheet against Tejashwi Yadav

The Central Bureau of Investigation on Monday filed a chargesheet against Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav in an alleged corruption case, reported PTI.

The agency has also named Yadav’s parents – former chief ministers Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi – and 13 other persons in the case.

This is the second chargesheet filed in the case. The first chargesheet was filed in October.

An unidentified official told PTI that the chargesheet has been filed on the basis of documents and evidence that surfaced after the first chargesheet was submitted in the case.

The case pertains to allegations that Yadav’s father, Lalu Prasad Yadav, took land from job aspirants in return for employment with the railways. The scam allegedly took place when Lalu Prasad Yadav was the Union Railway minister in the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance government.

The central agency has alleged that candidates were appointed as substitutes in Group D positions in the Railways within three days of applying in “undue haste”. The appointments were later regularised when the “individuals themselves or their family members transferred their land”, the agency alleged.

In March, the central agency had questioned Tejashwi Yadav, Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi in connection with the case.

IISc’s decision to cancel talk on UAPA against democratic values, say scientists and academicians

Over 500 scientists and academicians on Monday said that the Indian Institute of Science’s act of stopping a discussion on the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act damaged the institute’s reputation, according to The Hindu.

The discussion was to be led by activists Natasha Narwal and Devangana Kalita, who were arrested in a case related to the riots in Delhi in 2020. They were granted bail by the Delhi High Court in 2021. The order was upheld by the Supreme Court in May.

JKPSC CCE Prelims 2023 exam date revealed; details here

Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) has announced the exam date for the Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination (CEE) 2023. Eligible candidates can go through the official notification on the website jkpsc.nic.in.

The JKPSC CEE (Preliminary) exam 2023 is now tentatively scheduled to be held on September 24, 2023. Earlier, the Preliminary exam was scheduled to be held on July 24.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Monday said that the Indian government has urged Western countries not to give space to Khalistani elements, PTI reported.

“We have requested our partner countries like Canada, the US, the UK and Australia, where sometimes Khalistani activities happen, to not to give space to the Khalistanis,” Jaishankar said. “Because their radical, extremist thinking is neither good for us nor them nor our relations.”

The foreign minister made the remarks in response to a question about a controversial poster released by pro-Khalistani leaders in Canada.

Manipur violence: Supreme Court asks state government to file fresh status report

The Supreme Court on Monday directed the Manipur government to submit an updated status report on the ethnic clashes between the Meitei and Kuki communities in the state, reported Live Law.

A bench led by Chief Justice DY Chandrachud passed the order while hearing two petitions. One was filed by the Manipur Tribal Forum, a non-governmental organisation that sought Army protection for the Kukis.

The second plea by Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Dinganglung Gangmei challenged a Manipur High Court order asking the state government to consider petitions of the majority Meitei community to be included in the Scheduled Tribe category.

A rally organised on May 3 to oppose the Meiteis demand descended into violence and has left over 100 people dead and several thousands in shelter camps. The state has been on edge since then with widespread incidents of violence and arson.

During Monday’s hearing, Senior Advocate Colin Gonsalves, appearing for the Manipur Tribal Forum, told the Supreme Court that the situation in the state has worsened.

But Solicitor General Tushar Mehta claimed that the situation was improving slowly and curfew in the state has now been reduced to five hours from 24 hours.

Probing security lapses that led to Atiq Ahmed’s killing, Uttar Pradesh government tells SC

The Uttar Pradesh government has told the Supreme Court that it is investigating security lapses that led to the killing of gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf Ahmed in custody, reported Live Law.

On April 15, Atiq and Ashraf Ahmed were shot dead in the presence of police officials when they were being taken for a medical check-up at a hospital in Prayagraj. On April 13, Atiq Ahmed’s 19-year-old son Asad Ahmed was also killed in an alleged gunfight with the Uttar Pradesh Police.

The Supreme Court had sought a comprehensive affidavit from the Uttar Pradesh government on the steps taken to inquire into the matter. The direction was issued in response to a petition filed by advocate Vishal Tiwari seeking an independent inquiry into the killings.

The state government told the top court in an affidavit that it constituted a three-member inquiry commission, which was later upgraded to a five-member panel, headed by the Allahabad High Court’s former Chief Justice DB Bhonsle. The commission is yet to complete its inquiry and has been granted an extension till September 24, reported Live Law.

According to the official notification, the results for CA Inter and Finals held in May 2023 will be tentatively released on July 5. UKPSC ESE 2021 schedule released; download admit card from July 29

इस योजना में किसानों को साल में तीन बार 2-2 हजार रुपये की किस्त दी जाती है। ऐसे में अब तक पात्र किसानों को 13 किस्ते मिल चुकी है और 14वीं का इंतजार है। जानते हैं कि पात्र किसानों को 14वीं किस्त कब तक मिल सकती है।

मीडिया रिपोर्ट की माने तो पहले जानकारी मिल रही थी कि यह किस्त 30 जून तक किसानों को मिल सकती है। लेकिन अब यह 14वीं किस्त जुलाई के पहले सप्ताह में किसानों के खाते में आ सकती है। हालांकि सरकार की और से आधिकारिक घोषणा नहीं की गई है।

पहले सरकार 1 जुलाई से क्रेडिट कार्ड को लेकर नया नियम लागू करने वाली थी, जिसके तहत विदेश में क्रेडिट कार्ड से खर्च करने पर 1 जुलाई, 2023 से टीसीएस फी लगाने का प्रावधान था। इसके तहत आप विदेश में यदि क्रेडटि कार्ड से 7 लाख या इससे ज्यादा खर्च करते है तो आपको 20 प्रतशित टीसीएस का भुगतान करना पड़ता। लेकिन अब सरकार ने इसे तीन महीने के टाल दिया है।

अब सरकार ने इसे एक अक्टूबर से लागू करने का फैसला किया। सरकार ने वित्त विधेयक 2023 में उदारीकृत धन प्रेषण योजना के तहत शिक्षा और चिकित्सा को छोड़कर भारत से किसी अन्य देश को पैसा भेजने के साथ विदेश यात्रा पैकेज खरीदने पर टीसीएस पांच प्रतिशत से बढ़ाकर 20 प्रतिशत कर दिया था।

आरबीआई ने महालक्ष्मी सहकारी बैंक रद्द किया: भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक (आरबीआई) ने कर्नाटक स्थित महालक्ष्मी सहकारी बैंक का बैंकिंग लाइसेंस रद्द कर दिया है। अब यह बैंक सिर्फ नॉन-बैंकिंग फाइनेंस कंपनी (NBFC) की तरह काम करेगा.

केंद्रीय बैंक ने बताया कि यह 27 जून, 2023 को कारोबार की समाप्ति से प्रभावी हो गया है। रिजर्व बैंक ने कहा कि महालक्ष्मी सहकारी बैंक लिमिटेड एक गैर-बैंकिंग संस्थान के रूप में कार्य करना जारी रखेगा। बता दें कि रिजर्व बैंक ने 23 मार्च 1994 को महालक्ष्मी सहकारी बैंक का लाइसेंस दिया था।

रिजर्व बैंक की बढ़ती सख्ती: केंद्रीय रिजर्व बैंक पिछले कुछ समय से सहकारी बैंकों पर सख्ती बढ़ा रहा है। उदाहरण के लिए, अप्रैल 2023 में, केंद्रीय रिजर्व बैंक ने अडूर को-ऑपरेटिव अर्बन का बैंकिंग लाइसेंस रद्द कर दिया और इसे केवल एनबीएफसी के रूप में काम करने की अनुमति दी। वहीं, वित्तीय वर्ष 2023 में नौ ऋणदाताओं के लाइसेंस रद्द कर दिए गए हैं।

इससे पहले सोमवार को रिजर्व बैंक ने कुछ मानदंडों के उल्लंघन/अनुपालन न करने पर सात सहकारी बैंकों पर जुर्माना लगाया था। ये सहकारी बैंक थे टेक्सटाइल ट्रेडर्स को-ऑपरेटिव बैंक लिमिटेड, उज्जैन नागरिक सहकारी बैंक मर्यादित, पानीहाटी को-ऑपरेटिव बैंक, द बेरहामपुर को-ऑपरेटिव अर्बन बैंक, सोलापुर सिद्धेश्वर सहकारी बैंक, उत्तर प्रदेश को-ऑपरेटिव बैंक लिमिटेड और उत्तरपारा को-ऑपरेटिव बैंक। ऑपरेटिव बैंक. बैंक हैं.

जन्म एवं मृत्यु प्रमाण पत्र के लिए जन आधार नंबर जरूरी था। आर्थिक एवं सांख्यिकी निदेशालय ने पहले इस नंबर के बिना प्रमाणपत्र नहीं बनने को लेकर आदेश जारी किया था. लेकिन अब केंद्र सरकार ने लोगों को बड़ी राहत दी है. सरकार ने रजिस्ट्रार जनरल कार्यालय को बिना आधार के पंजीकरण करने की अनुमति दे दी है।

आधार अनिवार्य नहीं होगा

अब रजिस्ट्रेशन के लिए आधार नंबर की जरूरत नहीं होगी. आधार अनिवार्य नहीं होगा. 27 जून को एक नोटिफिकेशन जारी किया गया है. जिसमें कहा गया है कि ‘इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स और सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्रालय ने आरजीआई कार्यालय को जन्म और मृत्यु के पंजीकरण के दौरान दिए गए पहचान विवरण को प्रमाणित करने के लिए आधार डेटाबेस का उपयोग करने की अनुमति दी है।’

मामला जन्म के मामले में बच्चे, माता-पिता और सूचना देने वाले की पहचान करने के उद्देश्य से हो सकता है। राज्य सरकार और केंद्र शासित प्रदेश प्रशासन आधार प्रमाणीकरण के उपयोग के संबंध में मंत्रालय द्वारा निर्धारित दिशानिर्देशों का पालन करेंगे। साल 2020 में मंत्रालय ने नियमों को अधिसूचित किया था, जिसमें कहा गया था कि केंद्र सरकार सुशासन, सार्वजनिक धन के प्रवाह को रोकने और जीवन में आसानी प्रदान करने के लिए संस्थानों से अनुरोध करके आधार प्रमाणीकरण की अनुमति दे सकती है।

पीपीएफ योजना: सरकार द्वारा पब्लिक प्रोविडेंट फंड (पीपीएफ) योजना चलाई जा रही है। यह योजना केंद्र सरकार के अंतर्गत आती है। वहीं अगर कोई लंबी अवधि के लिए सुरक्षित निवेश की तलाश में है तो इस स्कीम में निवेश किया जा सकता है. इसके साथ ही लोगों को पीपीएफ स्कीम पर टैक्स बेनिफिट भी मिलता है.

सरकार द्वारा लोगों के हित के लिए कई योजनाएं चलाई जा रही हैं। इन योजनाओं का लाभ लोगों को अलग-अलग मौकों पर मिलता है. वहीं सरकार की ओर से निवेश के लिए कई योजनाएं चलाई जा रही हैं. इन योजनाओं के जरिए लोगों को सुरक्षित निवेश के साथ-साथ ब्याज कमाने का भी मौका मिलता है। और आज हम आपको एक ऐसी ही योजना के बारे में बताने जा रहे हैं.

पीपीएफ योजना

दरअसल, सरकार की ओर से पब्लिक प्रोविडेंट फंड (PPF) स्कीम चलाई जा रही है. यह योजना केंद्र सरकार के अंतर्गत आती है। वहीं अगर कोई लंबी अवधि के लिए सुरक्षित निवेश की तलाश में है तो इस स्कीम में निवेश किया जा सकता है. इसके साथ ही लोगों को पीपीएफ स्कीम पर टैक्स बेनिफिट भी मिलता है.

निवेश राशि

पीपीएफ स्कीम के तहत लोग हर साल 1.5 लाख रुपये तक निवेश कर सकते हैं. इसके साथ ही यह योजना 15 साल तक चलती है. यह योजना 15 साल के बाद ही परिपक्व होती है और लोगों को निवेश की गई राशि पर ब्याज के साथ परिपक्वता राशि भी मिलती है। वहीं, इस योजना के तहत लोगों को हर साल न्यूनतम 500 रुपये का निवेश करना होगा।

दिलचस्पी

पीपीएफ स्कीम में लोगों को ब्याज मिलता है. वहीं पीपीएफ योजना की एक खास बात यह है कि इस योजना पर दी जाने वाली ब्याज दर की हर 3 महीने में समीक्षा की जाती है। वहीं अगर केंद्र सरकार को लगेगा तो ब्याज दर में बदलाव भी किया जा सकता है. फिलहाल इस योजना पर सरकार की ओर से लोगों को 7.1 फीसदी ब्याज दिया जा रहा है.

एमसीएक्स पर चांदी 130 रुपये यानी 0.19 फीसदी की बढ़त के साथ 69471 रुपये प्रति किलोग्राम पर कारोबार कर रही है। चांदी नीचे में 69401 रुपये और ऊपर में 69580 रुपये प्रति किलो तक गयी. चांदी की ये कीमतें इसके जुलाई वायदा के लिए हैं।

बायजू ने ईपीएफओ को 123 करोड़ रुपये ट्रांसफर किए: बायजू ने कर्मचारियों के 10 महीने के पीएफ का पैसा ईपीएफओ को ट्रांसफर कर दिया है। कर्मचारियों का आरोप था कि पीएफ का पैसा जमा नहीं किया गया.

एडटेक फर्म बायजू की मूल कंपनी थिंक एंड लर्न ने अपने कर्मचारियों की अगस्त 2022 से मई 2023 तक की बकाया भविष्य निधि राशि कर्मचारी भविष्य निधि संगठन (ईपीएफओ) को भेज दी है। ईपीएफओ के निर्देश के बाद कंपनी ने अपने कर्मचारियों की पीएफ राशि भेज दी है.

बायजू ने ईपीएफओ को भेजा पैसा (बायजू ने ईपीएफओ को 123.1 करोड़ रुपये ट्रांसफर किए)

इस घटनाक्रम से वाकिफ सूत्रों ने जानकारी दी है कि बायजू ने 10 महीने की अवधि के लिए EPFO को 123.1 करोड़ रुपये का भुगतान किया है. साथ ही बाकी बकाया 3.43 करोड़ रुपये भी अगले कुछ दिनों में चुकाने की प्रतिबद्धता जताई है.

कटौती के बावजूद पीएफ खाते में नहीं जमा हुआ पैसा!

बायजू के कुछ पूर्व कर्मचारियों ने आरोप लगाया था कि कंपनी ने उनके वेतन से पीएफ का पैसा काटने के बावजूद उनके ईपीएफ खाते में पीएफ का पैसा जमा नहीं किया है।

बायजू के कुछ कर्मचारियों ने ईपीएफ खाते में पीएफ योगदान जमा न होने की शिकायत करते हुए अपने ईपीएफ खाते की पासबुक और वेतन पर्ची साझा की थी। EPFO पोर्टल के डेटा से यह भी पता चला कि कंपनी ने हर महीने अंशदान जमा करने के नियमों का पालन नहीं किया.

पीएफ का पैसा अगले महीने की 15 तारीख तक जमा करना होगा

कर्मचारी भविष्य निधि और विविध प्रावधान अधिनियम के तहत किसी भी कंपनी को हर महीने की पीएफ राशि अगले महीने की 15 तारीख तक जमा करनी होती है।

किसी भी देरी की स्थिति में ईपीएफओ दंडात्मक ब्याज का भुगतान करना पड़ सकता है।

इस कानून के तहत कर्मचारी ईपीएफ खाते में पैसा जमा करने में देरी होने पर शिकायत दर्ज करा सकते हैं. ईपीएफओ प्रणाली मासिक आधार पर डिफॉल्टरों की सूची जारी करती है।

आईआरसीटीसी का नियम:

आईआरसीटीसी के एक नियम के तहत यात्रियों को मुफ्त भोजन की सुविधा दी जाती है। यह सुविधा तब उपलब्ध होती है जब आपकी ट्रेन गंतव्य तक पहुंचने में 2 घंटे या उससे अधिक लेट हो जाएगी। लेकिन आपको बता दें कि इस सुविधा का लाभ केवल एक्सप्रेस ट्रेन के यात्री ही उठा सकते हैं। शताब्दी, राजधानी और दुरंतो एक्सप्रेस जैसी ट्रेनों से यात्रा करने वाले यात्री इस सुविधा का लाभ उठा सकते हैं। अगर आपको भी सफर में देर हो जाती है तो इस सुविधा का फायदा उठाने की कोशिश करें.

रेलवे के नियमों के मुताबिक ऑनलाइन टिकट बुक करने वाले यात्रियों को भी यह सुविधा मिलती है। अगर किसी वजह से आपकी ट्रेन छूट जाती है तो भी आप नियमानुसार रिफंड पा सकते हैं. इसके लिए आपको टीडीआर फॉर्म भरकर ट्रेन के स्टेशन से छूटने के एक घंटे के भीतर टिकट काउंटर पर जमा करना होगा।

The Council of Architecture will conclude the online registration process for the third test of the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA 2023) today, June 29. Eligible candidates can submit their applications for the exam on the official website nata.in up 8.00 PM. Earlier, the application deadline was June 27.

The NATA third test is scheduled to be conducted on July 9, 2023. The exam will be held in two shifts — 10.00 AM to 1.00 PM and 2.30 PM to 5.30 PM.

NATA is the qualifier for admission to B.Arch. program offered by Universities/ Institutions in the country, subject to the fulfillment of eligibility criteria as prescribed by the Council.

‘Adipurush’ row: Make wrong documentary on Quran and see what happens, says Allahabad HC

The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court on Wednesday suggested that even a short documentary on the Quran with discrepancies would cause a stir, Bar and Bench reported.

“If you make even a short documentary on the Quran depicting wrong things, then you will see what can happen,” a bench of Justices Rajesh Singh Chauhan and Shree Prakash Singh said while hearing petitions against the Hindi film Adipurush.

The judges, however, clarified that the court was concerned about the sentiments of all religions equally and they should not be depicted in a bad light.

Directed by Om Raut, Adipurush is an adaption of the Hindu epic Ramayana. It stars Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, Kriti Sanon, Sunny Singh and Devdutta Nage.

The film has been criticised on social media for its gangster film-style dialogue, the over-reliance on visual effects and its casting choices. Many pointed out that the dialogues in the film are not only anachronistic to the period setting but also disrespectful of the source material.

Protests were also held across India against the film. Following the criticism, the makers of Adipurush announced that they will rewrite portions of the dialogue and issue new versions of the film.
