। देश और राज्य की सरकारे अपने सरकारी कर्मचारियों का बहुत ज्यादा ख्याल रखती है। समय समय पर उनके लिए कई ऐसे काम करती रहती है जो आगे चलकर उनके लिए फायदेमंद होते है। ऐसा ही काम किया है कर्नाटक की नई सरकार ने भी। जिसका फायदा सीधे तौर पर कर्मचारियों को होने वाला है।

कर्नाटक सरकार ने इस साल 1 जनवरी से राज्य सरकार के कर्मचारियों और पेंशनर्स के महंगाई भत्ते यानी डीए में इजाफा कर दिया है। इस ऐलान के बाद प्रदेश के कर्मचारियों में खुशी का ठिकाना नहीं है। प्रदेश सरकार के कर्मचारियों को इसका काफी दिनों से इंतजार था।

लेकिन प्रदेश में कांग्रेस की सरकार आने के बाद डीए एवं डीआर में इजाफा कर दिया गया है। मीडिया रिपोर्ट की माने तो कर्नाटक सरकार के नोटिफिकेशन के अनुसार मई की सैलरी में जनवरी से लेकर अब तक का एरियर दिया जाएगा। प्रदेश सरकार ने डीए एवं डीआर में 4 फीसदी का इजाफा किया है। . जिसके बाद महंगाई भत्ता और महंगाई राहत दोनों 31 फीसदी से बढ़कर 35 फीसदी हो गए है।

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday issued an appeal to Kuki groups to maintain peace for 15 days in Manipur, reported PTI.

The North Eastern state has witnessed ethnic clashes between Meiteis and Kukis since May 3 that have left at least 81 persons dead, over 200 injured and thousands displaced.

The home minister is on a three-day visit to Manipur. In a meeting with Kuki civil society groups and other tribal leaders in the Churachandpur district, Shah assured of dispatching more security personnel for the safety of people.

“He [Shah] assured a permanent political solution for the tribals of the state while asking for 15 days of peace, ” Indigenous Tribal Leaders Forum spokesperson Ginza Vualzong said, according to The Indian Express. “As requested, we will maintain peace. But we have to defend ourselves if we are being attacked.”

Lal Ngaiteh, the spokesperson of the Zomi Students Federation, said the tribal bodies had put forward several demands including the imposition of president’s rule in Manipur and a separate administration. “We also want peace,” he said. “But we no longer…

जयपुर। मां के प्यार को कोई नहीं जीत सकता।औलाद बेशक उससे नफरत करने लगे, मगर मां के स्नेह और उसकी आंखों से निकले दो आंसू की कोई कीमत नहीं होती। मां है ही ऐसा अनमोल रत्न , सुनो दिल की आवाज कि वो शाम ना आए,जब मां हम से दूर हो जाए। सच पूछो तो इस दुनियां में मां से बड़ा कोई धन नहीं है। जरा भी ओझल हो जाए मैया। मन बेचैन हो उठता है। यह वाकिया एक ऐसी मां का है,जिसके त्याग को उसकी औलाद ने नही समझा, वह जब विदा हुई तो उसके मतलबी पुत्र ने रो रो कर दुनिया उठा मारी।

इस कहानी की नायिका का नाम सुंदर देवी है। पांच साल पहले पति का साथ छूट था। तसल्ली के नाम पर एक औलाद थी। उसी को पाला पोसा और उसकी शादी की। दिन गुजरते गए तभी एक घटना बिजली की तरह तड़क कर गिरी। शनिवार का दिन था। सांझ ढले दफ्तर से आने वाला उसका पुत्र देर रात तक नहीं आया। चिंतित थी। परेशान थी। एक सवाल मन से था…जिसकी आंखों में कटी थी सदियां,उसने सदियों की जुदाई दीं है। एक एक एक पल भारी होने लगा था।अशुभ खयालों से घेर लिया। ऑफ…! कही कोई अशुभ ना हो जाए। बहु बेटे से नाराज थी। मगर जरा भी आहत होती तो सारे कष्ट भूल जाती।

मगर एक सवाल। मगर नहीं मिला जवाब। बेटे बहु को याद में आंखें नम कर लेती थी।आखिर कहां चले गए। कोई सूचना नही।आखिर क्यों। यह भी नही सोचा।औलाद को खोजने,यह बूढ़ी मां किसका दरवाजा खट खताएगी। आम तौर पर विक्रम संध्या के समय आ जा या करता था। कभी कोई काम होने पर विलंब की सूचना हर हाल में मिल जाती थी। मगर आज…! मन ही मन में अशुभ ख्यालों में डूबी,घर के दरवाजे को घूरे जा रही थी। घड़ी के टिक टिक की आवाज दिल की धड़कनो के साथ खेल कर रही थीं तरह जनबी बनी इसे तोड़ने का प्रयास कर रही थी।

सुंदरी की बैचेनी एक और बड़ा कारण विक्रम का बर्थ डे का भी था। इस मौके पर खीर बनाया करती थी। चावल की खीर में ड्रायफ्रूट और केसर को पत्ती डाला करती थी। मां की बनाई केसर की खीर उसे बहुत पसंद थी। हमेशा की तरह आज भी खीर बनी थी। साथ में आलू की भाजी और गरमा गर्म पूड़ी। मैया को विश्वास था कि खीर देख कर विक्की का मूड ठीक हो जायेगा। खीर के अलावा फिर दाल की पकोड़ी, यह बहु की पसंद थी। विक्की और खीर की रामायण रात बारह बजे तक चलती रही। उसकी यादों का विराम उस वक्त लगा जब दरवाजे पर लगी घंटी बज उठी। तपाक से वह उठी । बिना कोई विलंब के दरवाजा खोला। विक्रम के मुंह से शराब की आते ही वह चौकी। पहले ख्याल आया गाल पर तमाचा जड़ दूं। मगर रुक गई। इस तरह तो बात और ज्यादा बिगड़ जाएगी।

विक्की के कदम लड़का रहे थे। बदन में फंसा कमीज खोला और उसे फैंका सोफे पर। फिर बोला,,..इतनी रात हो गई तू सोई नहीं। सुंदरी चुप थी। कुछ देर के बाद,बोली। बहु मान्यता की ओर अपना चेहरा घुमाकर उसे घूरा। फिर बोली,।खाना गर्म करके परोस दो सभी को भूख लग रही होगी। विक्रम का मूड फिर गया था। नशे में गुर्राया … आप को कहा ना।हमें नहीं खानी आप की बनाई खीर।आप हो क्यो ना खा लेटी थी।सुंदरी भूखी थी, मगर विक्की के व्यवहार से उसकी भूख गायब हो गई।कांपते हाथो से खीर का बर्तन,रसोई में रखे फ्रीज में रखा। फिर बोली, आज तेरा जन्म दिन है। खीर इसी लिए बनाई थी कि तुझे पसंद है। फिर छोड़ो खीर की बात । तुम दोनों ने खाना बहत खा लिया, यह भी ठीक है। फ्रिज में रखी खीर सुबह तक और भी मजेदार हो जायेगी।

Urmila Pachkar spends roughly 12 hours each week strapped to a dialysis machine. She travels three times a week for dialysis to a centre 12 km from her home. She will turn 31 in August, but her sallow cheeks and bony form give her the appearance of a teenager.

In 2013, Pachkar was diagnosed with chronic kidney failure, a condition in which the organs, each the size of a coffee mug, are no longer able to filter blood, remove waste from the body, and maintain fluid balance.

Her life now depends on someone else’s death: today, Pachkar is one of 3,375 individuals in Mumbai who are waiting for a new kidney. “It has been seven years now,” Pachkar says, referring to the time since she registered herself for a transplant.

Under Indian law, an individual can receive a kidney, or part of a liver, from a living family member or friend. They can also receive these organs from a deceased donor, called a cadaver donor. (Certain organs, such as the heart, lungs, bowel, intestine, or hands, can only be transplanted from cadaver donors.)

In Pachkar’s case, no one in her family matched her blood group. So, she registered for a cadaver donation.

The National Council for Educational Research and Training on Tuesday said it has removed references to Khalistan from the Class 12 political science textbook. Khalistan refers to an independent Sikh state sought by some groups.

The changes to the textbook were made after the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee last month raised objections about the content.

It had alleged that the NCERT misrepresented historical details about Sikhs in the textbook. The Sikh body had particularly objected to the mentioning of the Anandpur Sahib resolution in the textbook, Politics In India Since Independence.

The Anandpur Sahib resolution was a document adopted by the Shiromani Akali Dal in 1973. The resolution affirmed the party’s commitment to the Sikh religion and demanded greater autonomy for Punjab. It also demanded that the city of Chandigarh should be handed over to Punjab and that Punjabi should be given second-language status in neighboring states.

In the textbook, a passage about the resolution read: “The resolution also spoke of the aspirations of the Sikh community and declared its goal as attaining the ‘bolbala’ [dominance] of the Sikhs. The resolution was a plea for strengthening federalism, but it could also be interpreted as a plea for a separate Sikh nation.”

From reproductive to creative

Hours after K Somokanta fled his home on the afternoon of May 3, it was burned down by a mob.

A teacher in a private school in Manipur’s Churachandpur town, Somokanta now lives in a “relief camp” in adjoining Bishnupur district’s Moirang sub-division. Twenty-three such camps – which have come up in schools, guest houses and market complexes – house nearly 5,000 Meiteis who were forced to escape rampaging Kuki mobs in Churachandpur since ethnic clashes broke out in the state earlier this month.

The same day, around 80 kilometers away in the Manipur valley, in Thoubal district’s Wangjing area, another mob set fire to an institution for underprivileged children run by A Robindro, a pastor in a church nearby. Strikingly, the arsonists were men from the Meitei community to which Robindro himself belongs.

A community ‘sandwiched’

In strife-torn Manipur, where clashes between the Meitei and Kuki communities since May 3 have left thousands of people homeless and more than 80 dead, one set of people has been at the receiving end of violence by mobs from both sides: Meiteis who follow Christianity, like Somokanta and Robindro. The community of around 3 lakh people are a minority among the Meiteis.

। राजस्थान में गहलोत और पायलट के झगड़े का पटाक्षेप भले ही मीडिया की नजरों में आलाकमान ने कर दिया हो लेकिन दोनों के मनों का मिलना मुश्किल है। यह बात तो साफ है की आलाकमान के डर से भले ही ये पायलट और गहलोत अपने आपको एक दिखाने की कोशिश करे लेकिन ये संभव है नहीं। दिल्ली दरबार में बैठकों के बाद यह कह दिया गया है की दोनों ने फैसला आलाकमान पर छोड़ दिया है।

लेकिन इस बैठक के पहले ही गहलोत ने एक और बयान देकर पायलट की टेंशन बढ़ा दी है। उन्होंन पायलट का नाम नहीं लिया लेकिन इशारों को कौन नहीं समझता है। सीएम अशोक गहलोत ने कहा किसी कार्यकर्ता की इतनी हिम्मत नहीं है कि वह कहे यह पद लूंगा। यह नहीं लूंगा। गहलोत ने कहा- ऐसे फॉर्मूले मैंने अपनी जिंदगी में कभी नहीं सुने। कोई नेता मांगे कि यह चीज मुझे मिल जाए या हाईकमान उसे ऑफर करें कि आप कौन सा पद लोगे? ऐसा रिवाज मैंने कभी कांग्रेस में नहीं देखा।

आपको बता दे की दिल्ली में पायलट और गहलोत के बीच होने वाली बैठक से पहले उन्होंने ये सारी बाते कही उन्होंने साथ में ये भी कहा की कांग्रेस में ऐसी स्थिति नहीं आई है कि आप किसी को मनाने के लिए पद ऑफर करो। गहलोत ने कहा- हाईकमान और कांग्रेस पार्टी आज भी इतना मजबूत है कि ऐसी स्थिति नहीं आई है। कांग्रेस बहुत मजबूत संगठन है। जानकारी के लिए बता दे की बीच में ये चर्चाए तेज हो गई थी की पायलट को राजस्थान कांग्रेस प्रदेशाध्यक्ष बनाया जा सकता है जिसके बाद वो सभी चीजे मान सकते है। इसी पर गहलोत ने ये बात कही है।

देर रात तक दिल्ली में कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष खरगे के घर चली बैठकों के बाद संगठन महासचिव केसी वेणुगापोल ने दोनों नेताओं को मीडिया के सामने लाकर एकजुटता से साथ चुनाव लड़ने की घोषणा की। मीडिया रिपोर्ट की माने तो चार घंटे चली बैठकों के दौर के बाद राजस्थान कांग्रेस के झगड़े को सुलझाने पर सहमति बन गई है।

हालांकि अभी तक पायलट की तीन मांगों और उनकी राजस्थान में सियासी भूमिका को लेकर कोई फार्मूला सार्वजनिक नहीं किया गया है। मीटिंग के बाद कांग्रेस नेता केसी वेणुगोपाल ने कहा दोनों ने फैसला हाईकमान पर छोड़ दिया है। राजस्थान में कांग्रेस मजबूत है।

It was the summer of 2014. I was on a bus with a group of young students headed to Kapashera, where we hoped to meet some apparel industry workers. We were going on a Sunday because it was a weekly holiday for most workers. Halfway through the journey (more than an hour from the starting point of the bus at ISBT, Kashmiri Gate), we realized that some of our co-passengers were garment workers.

I heard my young friends squealing in delight when they realized that these workers produced garments for Abercrombie & Fitch, a high-end casual wear brand. I was tutored about the details and nuances of this brand.

Amongst those on the bus was Ramesh, a 35-year-old worker. He and the other workers were returning from Chor Bazaar (a well-known flea market in old Delhi). They had used their holiday to travel more than 30 km to the flea market to buy second-hand clothes for their children. The irony of the situation was not lost on us. Having spent their lives draping the world in some of the most famous brands, these workers could only afford old T-shirts worth Rs 35 for their children.

A civilian was shot dead by militants in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday, the police said.

Deepak Kumar, 26, from the Udhampur district of the Jammu region was attacked when he had gone to a nearby market to purchase milk. He was part of a circus crew that was camping at the Janglaat Mandi area and was provided security.

According to the Jammu and Kashmir Police, two persons on a motorcycle fired three bullets at him from a close range at around 8.30 pm. “He was taken to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries,” the police said in a tweet. “Case registered, investigation going on.”

A little-known militant group called the Kashmir Freedom Fighters has claimed responsibility for the killing, reported The Times of India. The group is believed to be a shadow outfit of banned Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba.

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha condemned the killing. “Our security forces remain committed in their resolve to thwart the designs of terrorists and all efforts will be made to bring the perpetrators to justice,” he said, according to The Indian Express.

National Conference leader Omar Abdullah said he was pained by the targeted attack on the civilian.

दरअसल, कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष मल्लिकार्जुन खड़गे और राहुल गांधी ने सोमवार को दिल्ली स्थित कांग्रेस मुख्यालय में पार्टी नेताओं के साथ चुनावी तैयारियों को लेकर बैठक की थी। राहुल गांधी ने कहा कि बैठक में हमारी लंबी चर्चा चली। हमारा आंतरिक आकलन है कि हमें कर्नाटक में 136 सीटें मिली हैं। मध्यप्रदेश में 150 सीटें मिलने वाली हैं।

मौसम विभाग की माने तो आगामी तीन दिनों तक राज्य में तेज रफ्तार अधंड, बादल गरजने के साथ बारिश और ओले पड़ने के आसार है। इसको लेकर मौसम विभाग ने प्रदेश के 25 जिलों में ओरेंज अलर्ट जारी कर दिया है। मौसम विभाग ने लोगों को सलाह देते हुए कहा है कि बेवजह घरों से बाहर ना निकलें। इसके साथ ही पेड़ों, दीवारों और बिजली के खंभों से दूरी बनाए रखें।

On his first day in Class 9 at his new school, Rampengthua was in tears.

“I cried a lot that day,” said the 15-year-old, recalling that day in September 2021 when he joined the Government Thanchhuma High School in Farkawn, a village in Mizoram’s Champhai district. “I did not understand a word of what I was being taught,” he said.

Rampengthua’s distress was natural. The classes were being held in English and Mizo, languages he did not understand.

Back home in Chin state, Myanmar, he spoke Hakha at home and Burmese or Myan in school.

But a few months earlier, Rampengthua and his family had left his home behind. They made a dangerous journey on foot, abandoning their home of many years and crossed over to Farkawn – just as thousands of people from Myanmar had arrived in India in March 2021, when the military junta seized power from a democratically elected government.

Mizoram opened its doors to the Chin refugees, with whom the Mizos share ethnic ties. Relief camps were set up, and civil society groups pitched in to help the displaced.

In August 2021, the Mizoram government allowed children of refugee families to continue their education in government-run schools.

Deepanshi Jain, a young woman in her early 20s, has a YouTube channel that has amassed over 100,000 subscribers. It started with the Covid-19 lockdown, when she found herself wondering what to do with the time that hung heavy on her hands.

Figuring that there could be others battling the same dilemma, Jain started a YouTube channel with a simple theme: What do you do – what can you do – when you are stuck at home?

The content gained immediate traction. “My channel was monetised within two months,” Jain says. “My videos went viral during Covid. Within two months, I got 6,000 subscribers.” She quit her job and devoted all her time to content creation.

Jain exemplifies a study, published in 2022, by Oxford Economics which found that the ever-growing numbers of creative entrepreneurs on YouTube contributed over Rs 10,000 crore to India’s Gross Domestic Product in 2021. The study, fielded in eight Indian languages, also found that the platform supported an equivalent of 750,000 full-time jobs.

The study shows that unlike the much-talked-about internet-based startups that originate in the metros and big cities, content creators are emerging from every nook and corner of the country.

The right of an individual to choose their sex or gender identity is integral to their personality and is one of the most basic aspects of self-determination, dignity and freedom, the Rajasthan High Court has observed, reported Bar and Bench on Monday.

Justice Anoop Kumar Dhand made the observation in his judgement ordering authorities to consider changing service records of a petitioner who had been assigned the female gender at birth. The order was passed on May 25.

The petitioner had got a job in 2013 under the General Female Category but was diagnosed with Gender Identity Disorder – the incongruence between a person’s experienced or expressed gender and the one they were assigned at birth.

After this, the petitioner underwent a gender reassignment surgery to become a male. He then married a woman and fathered two children.

In his plea, the petitioner had argued that that unless his name and gender is changed in his service records, it would be difficult for him and his family to get the benefits of his service. He had sought that the authorities should make the needed changes in the records.

The petitioner had also legally changed his name and gender to reflect their male identity, reported the Hindustan Times.

धनबाद(झारखंड)। झारखंड के धनबाद जिले में सोमवार को बिजली का खंभा लगाने के दौरान, वह हाई-टेंशन तार पर गिर गया और इसकी चपेट में आने से छह मजदूरों की मौत हो गई। अधिकारियों ने यह जानकारी दी।

बाघमारा के पुलिस उपाधीक्षक ने बताया कि घटना राज्य की राजधानी रांची से 145 किलोमीटर दूर नचितपुर रेलवे स्टेशन के नजदीक हुई।धनबाद मंडल रेल प्रबंधक (डीआरएम) कमल किशोर सिन्हा जानकारी मिलने के तुरंत बाद घटनास्थल पर पहुंचे।

डीआरएम ने बताया, ;;बिजली का खंभा लगाया जा रहा था। इसी बीच खंभा रेलवे के हाई टेंशन तार पर गिर गया जिसकी चपेट में आकर छह मजदूरों की मौत हो गई। मामले की जांच शुरू कर दी गई है।

लखनऊ। समाजवादी पार्टी(सपा) अध्यक्ष और उत्तर प्रदेश के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री अखिलेश यादव ने सोमवार को सत्तारूढ़ भारतीय जनता पार्टी (भाजपा) पर निशाना साधते हुए कहा कि भाजपा सरकार जातीय जनगणना से ;भाग रही है।

उत्तर प्रदेश विधान परिषद की दो सीटों के लिए यहां सोमवार को मतदान करने के बाद पत्रकारों से बातचीत में सपा प्रमुख ने आरोप लगाया कि भाजपा जातीय जनगणना से भाग रही है।यादव ने सवाल किया कि क्या सामाजिक न्याय बिना जातिगत जनगणना के संभव है। उन्‍होंने यह भी कहा कि भाजपा इन सवालों से भाग रही है।उन्होंने पूछा, “सरकार की क्या उपलब्धियां हैं। उसने राज्य में कितने एम्स बनाए, कितने शहरों को ‘स्मार्ट सिटी’ बनाया।

पूरे देश में एनएचएआई द्वारा एक्सप्रेस वे बनाए जा रहे हैं, यूपी को पैसा क्यों नहीं मिल रहा है। यूपी का बिजली का कोटा भी केंद्र ने नहीं बढ़ाया है।यादव ने भाजपा पर नौकरी के अवसर छीनने का भी आरोप लगाया और दावा किया कि सत्तारूढ़ पार्टी विश्वविद्यालयों में अपने लोगों की भर्ती कर रही है और नौकरी के अवसर छीने जा रहे हैं।उन्होंने कहा, ;;वे (भाजपा) दलितों और पिछड़ों के अधिकार छीन रहे हैं। वे उन्हें संविधान में मिले अधिकार से वंचित करना चाहते हैं।यादव ने यह भी आरोप लगाया कि उनकी पार्टी के कई विधायकों से (एमएलसी चुनावों के लिए) संपर्क किया गया और उनके साथ बैठकें भी की गईं।

उन्होंने कहा कि ऐसा करने वालों का पर्दाफाश होना चाहिए।उल्लेखनीय है कि विधान परिषद की दो सीटों के लिए सोमवार को सुबह नौ बजे से मतदान शुरू हुआ और शाम चार बजे तक मतदान जारी रहेगा व शाम पांच बजे से मतगणना शुरू होगी।सोमवार को देर शाम तक परिणाम घोषित हो जाने की संभावना है। दोनों सीटों पर भाजपा और सपा के उम्‍मीदवार अपनी किस्मत आजमा रहे हैं।
