MPESB PVFT 2023 registration deadline today; check here for steps to apply

Today, June 21, is the final day to fill out the online application forms for the Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MPESB) or MP Vyapam Pre Veterinary and Fishery Entrance Test (PVFT) 2023. Eligible candidates can register for the exam on the official website esb.mp.gov.in.

The exam is scheduled to be conducted on July 25, in two shifts — 9.00 AM to 11.00 AM and 3.00 PM to 5.00 PM.

The MPESB PVFT is a state-level entrance exam held for admission to B.F.Sc. (Bachelor of Fisheries Science) and B.V.Sc and A.H. (Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry) courses offered in different colleges.

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit: Candidates should not be below the age of 17 years as on December 2023, to register for the examination. More details are available in the official notification.

Educational Qualification: Candidates who have passed the Class 12 or 10+2 board exam in Science are eligible to apply for MPESB PVFT 2023.

उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने भी अंतर्राष्ट्रीय योग दिवस पर आयोजित कार्यक्रम में हिस्सा लिया। इसके साथ ही हरिद्वार के पतंजलि योगपीठ में अंतर्राष्ट्रीय योग दिवस समारोह का आयोजन किया गया। इस कार्यक्रम में उत्तराखंड के मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी और बाबा रामदेव ने हिस्सा लिया।

इंटरनेट डेस्क। राजस्थान में चक्रवाती तूफान बिपरजॉय ने पांच जिलों में बाढ़ की स्थिति पैदा कर दी है, जिसके बाद लोगों के सामने कई समस्याएं खड़ी हो गई है। कई लोगों के घरों में पानी भर गया है तो कई मकान टूट भी गए है। ऐसे में प्रदेश के सीएम अशोक गहलोत सभी काम को छोड प्रभावित इलाकों का दौरा कर रहे है।

सीएम अशोक गहलोत ने मंगलवार को बाढ़मेर इलाके का हवाई दौरा किया और उसके बाद लोगों के साथ में मुलाकत की। यहां सीएम ने लोगों से कहा की जो भी लोग बिपरजॉय से प्रभावित हुए उन्हें मुआवजा दिया जाएगा। सीएम ने कहा की सर्वे करवाकर लोगों को राहत पहुंचाई जाएगी। नियमानुसार लोगों को मुआवजा दिया जाएगा।

इस मौके पर बात करते हुए सीएम ने कहा की 15 हजार लोगों को तूफान आने से पहले ही सुरक्षित स्थानों पर पहुंचा दिया गया था। उन्होंने कहा कच्चे मकानों, पशुओं, स्कूल भवनों को भी नुकसान हुआ है। सीएम ने सर्वे करने के लिए अधिकारियों को निर्देश भी दे दिए है।

इंटरनेट डेस्क। चक्रवाती तूफान बिपरजॉय का असर राजस्थान में अभी भी जारी है। धौलपुर जिले में भी झमाझम बारिश देखने को मिली। मौसम विभाग ने भरतपुर, धौलपुर, करौली और सवाई माधोपुर के साथ टोंक जिलों में कहीं-कहीं भारी से अति भारी बारिश की चेतावनी जारी की थी। इसके बाद शुरू हुई बारिश सपोटरा सवाई माधोपुर मार्ग बंद हो गया है।

खबरों की माने तो बारिश के कारण खूब पुरा नदी उफान पर है और उसके कारण रास्ते बंद हो गए है। इधर मौसम विभाग ने आज फिर धोलपुर जिले में रेड अलर्ट जारी किया है तो वहीं भरतपुर और करोली जिले में येला अलर्ट साथ ही सवाई माधोपुर,टोंक,बूंदी कोटा, बारां, झालवाड़, दौसा,जयपुर,भीलवाड़ा जिलों में येलो अलर्ट जारी किया है। सुबह से ही मौसम भी बारिश को हो गया है।

वहीं 22 जून से बारिश की गतिविधया कम हो जाएगी और इसके बाद 24-25 जून से पूर्वी राजस्थान में एक बार फिर बारिश की गतिविधियों में बढ़ोतरी होने की प्रबल संभावना है। वहीं जयपुर में मंगलवार को भी पूरे दिन बारिश का दौर जारी रहा तो रात में भी बारिश देखने को मिली।

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in the United States on a state visit, signifying a major strengthening of ties between Delhi and Washington.

Ahead of Modi’s visit, Western media and commentators have argued that India and the United States’ interests are clearly converging when it comes to cooperation on defence as well as on the economic front, especially amid China’s rise as the only global competitor to Washington.

However, most of them have also argued that India’s “democratic backsliding” under Modi has created a tricky situation for Washington, which has projected the two nations’ shared democratic values as the basis for their bilateral relationship.

A state visit

Washington will host Modi for a state visit for three days. A state visit is considered the United States’ highest expression of bilateral ties with another country. This will be the first state visit by an Indian leader since former prime minister Manmohan Singh, 14 years ago. A submersible has gone missing near the Titanic wreck – what is it and what may have happened?

An extensive search and rescue operation is underway to locate a commercial submersible that went missing during a dive to the Titanic shipwreck.

According to the US Coast Guard, contact with the submersible was lost about one hour and 45 minutes into the dive, with five people onboard. The vessel was reported overdue at 9.13pm local time on Sunday.

The expedition was being run by US company OceanGate as part of an eight-day trip with guests paying US$250,000 per head to visit the wreck site. As of Monday afternoon, US Coast Guard Rear Admiral John Mauger said the watercraft likely had somewhere between 70 and the full 96 hours of oxygen available to the passengers.

The Titanic’s wreck sits some 3,800 metres deep in the Atlantic, about 700km south of St John’s, Newfoundland. Finding an underwater vehicle the size of a small bus in this vast and remote expanse of ocean will be no small feat. Here’s what the search and rescue teams are up against.

Modi, Biden must not sweep human rights concerns under the rug, says Amnesty International

United States President Joe Biden and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi must address “grave human rights concerns” in both countries when they meet later this week, non-governmental organisation Amnesty International said on Tuesday.

Modi on Tuesday morning left New Delhi for a three-day visit to the United States. He is slated to meet Biden on June 22.

Aakar Patel, the chair of board at Amnesty International India, said that the two leaders “must hold each other to account for their human rights commitments, rather than sweep human rights issues in their respective countries under the rug”.

Patel added: “While the red carpet has been rolled out for Prime Minister Modi, people in India continue to experience grave human rights abuses.”

Amanda Klasing, national director of government relations and advocacy at Amnesty International USA, said that Modi has presided over a period of rapid deterioration of human rights protections in India, including increasing violence against religious minorities, shrinking civil society space and the criminalisation of dissent.

The organisation said that many state governments in India “have passed laws to criminalise consensual inter-faith marriages and undertaken punitive demolitions targeting Muslim-owned properties”.

What is ailing new IITs? Infrastructure delays, staff shortages, fewer projects, says audit report

In 2008, the Union government had announced that it would establish eight new Indian Institutes of Technology with budgets allocated for the next six years, to expand technical education and promote social equity in India.

But about a decade since, these IITs have inadequate infrastructure, faculty shortages, they are financially dependent, and fail to attract students who clear entrance examinations for engineering courses, as per a Comptroller and Auditor General December 2021 performance audit report, which was made public in 2023. These issues negatively affect research projects and patents, the report said.

IITs are autonomous engineering education and research institutions, providing undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD programmes, along with research programmes in applied and interdisciplinary areas.

There were 23 IITs across India as of September 2022. The eight new IITs, approved and set up between 2008 and 2009 are IIT Bhubaneswar, IIT Gandhinagar, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Indore, IIT Jodhpur, IIT Mandi, IIT Patna and IIT Ropar.

An audit of these institutes was conducted between 2014 and 2019, involving records scrutiny, information gathering, physical inspections, and analysing incomplete infrastructure projects, equipment procurement and more.

Infrastructure delays

Of the eight IITs, by November 2020, four owned the land that the government had allotted to them, but the others had land possession issues for their campuses, including academic and residential areas, as well as various facilities, the Comptroller and Auditor General report found.

FCRA licence of Harsh Mander’s think tank suspended because he wrote articles for newspapers

The Ministry of Home Affairs has suspended the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act licence of activist Harsh Mander’s think tank Centre for Equity Studies for 180 days.

The Centre for Equity Studies is as an autonomous institution engaged in advocating issues of social justice.

In an order on June 14, the ministry said that Mander has regularly been writing columns for newspapers such as The Indian Express, The Hindu, The Wire, the Hindustan Times, The Quint and Scroll.

“Harsh Mander, trustee, has accepted foreign contribution amounting to Rs 12,64,671 during the financial year 2011-’12 to 2017-’18 as professional receipts/ payments from the FCRA account of the association [Centre for Equity Studies],” the order added. “This is in violation of Sections 3 and 8 of the Act and conditions of registration under Section 12(4)(a)(vi) of the Act.”

Registration under Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, or FCRA, is mandatory to receive foreign funds. The suspension of the licence makes the think tank ineligible to get fresh donations from abroad or use the existing foreign donations without the home ministry’s clearance.

Section 3 of the Act prohibits acceptance of foreign contributions by correspondents, columnists, cartoonists, editors, owners, printers and publishers of a registered newspaper. Section 8 of the Act states that organisations receiving foreign contributions must use them only for the purpose they are intended…

इस योजना में भी लोगों को फायदा हो रहा है। इस योजना के तहत सरकार ने देशभर में जन औषिधि केंद्र खोले हैं, जहां सस्ती जेनरिक दवाओं की बिक्री हो रही है। अभी इन केंद्रों पर करीब 1800 दवाई और 300 सर्जिकल आइटम मिलते हैं। जिनकी कीमत 50 से 90 फीसदी तक कम होती है।

PSSSB declares final answer key and results for Lab Tech Animal Husbandry exams; download link here

Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board (PSSSB) has announced the final answer key and results for Laboratory Technician (Animal Husbandry) and Multipurpose Fisheries Skilled Worker exam under Advt No 16/2022. Candidates can check the final answer keys and download their results from the official website sssb.punjab.gov.in.

PSSSB exam for Lab Technician and MFSW posts was conducted on June 10 in two shifts. The PSSSB recruitment drive aims to fill up a total of 309 vacancies for various posts including Laboratory Technician (Animal Husbandry) and Multipurpose Fisheries Skilled Worker.

Junior Speed Chess Championship 2023: D Gukesh beats Raunak Sadhwani to win title by seven points

Indian chess prodigy Grandmaster D Gukesh won the 2023 Junior Speed Chess Championship on Monday, beating compatriot GM Raunak Sadhwani in the final by seven points.

The world No 13 raked up a handsome $21,582 prize for his 17.5-10.5 win.

The win for the 17-year-old came after he had been trailing in the initial games of the final.

“At the start in time scrambles, I couldn’t get my mind to think fast, and it was trouble warming up,” he told Chess.com.

“Maybe I have to play a few games before the match starts and just go with the flow.

“I started with a loss, a draw, and then a loss, but I was still quite confident. It’s a long match. There are so many games to play. I knew that I would get my chances, and I just have to find my flow. Once I did, it was quite smooth.”

Incidentally, Gukesh revealed that speed chess is not known to be his forte.

“I’m more known to be a slow player, a classical player, but I’ve recently started working on faster time controls as well,” he was quoted by Chess24.com.

Football, SAFF Championship: Pakistan receive visas two days before opening match against India

The Pakistan men’s football team is all set to compete in the 2023 SAFF Championship after finally being granted visas by the Indian government on Monday.

All India Football Federation secretary general Shaji Prabhakaran confirmed the development on Twitter on Monday night.

Shahid Khokhar, a member of the Pakistan Football Federation Normalisation Committee, also confirmed the news to Sportstar. The team will fly to Indian from Mauritius where they were competing in a four nations cup.

“I would like to thank (AIFF general secretary) Shaji Prabhakaran and (AIFF president) Kalyan Choubey for doing so much from their end,” Khokhar told Sportstar. “It was thanks to them that we got the visa as quickly as we did. Normally, you get an Indian visa in person only, but we were able to get the visa in Mauritius (where the Pakistan team is playing a four-nation tournament). This allows us to travel directly to India and not have to fly back to Pakistan.”

Pakistan have been scheduled to play hosts India in their first match on June 21, hours after they land in Bengaluru.

CRPF Constable Tradesman admit cards releasing soon; here’s how to download

Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) will soon release the admit card for the post of Constable (Technical and Tradesmen) (Male/Female)-2023. Once out, eligible candidates will be able to download their hall tickets from the official website rect.crpf.gov.in.

The all-India test is tentatively scheduled to be conducted from July 1 to 13 in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.

The CRPF Constable Tradesman recruitment drive aims to fill up a total of 9212 posts, of which 9105 vacancies are for male candidates and 107 posts are for Female candidates. The pay scale is level-3 (Rs 21,700 – 69,100). The posts include Bugler, Cook, Safai Karmachari, Driver, Barber, Washerman and Carpenter, among others.
